There many things that people do without thinking a bit and how they can affect their future life, I spend much of my time after meals lingering in my bed, refusing to do anything else with my life. And yes, I know that isn’t the sensible thing to do after I have stuffed my stomach to the brink with food, but I’m not alone here. There are some pretty bad practices that people are habituated to after eating a meal, and while I’m part of that group, these habits should ultimately be broken.

Smoking after a meal is a regular habit for many people all over the world, but no matter how satisfying a good smoke after a meal may seem, but your body needs to digest the food properly after eating. If you go ahead and smoke right after your meal, the nicotine present in the cigarette binds to the excess oxygen that is required in the digestion of food, allowing your body to absorb more carcinogens which is cancer causing tissue than usual, it can also be fatal.
Yes sleeping after a meal is a regular practice for many people but there are many disadvantages out of it, laying down after eating causes your tummy to burn extremely, leading to discomfort and sleeping deformity. I know eating can be exhausting and tiresome, that you deserve a rest after fighting that huge skillet cookie but try to resist the temptation for at least a few hours.

This means that there is very less blood available to help you to digest your food, which can slow the process of digestion or render it inefficient.
